Corazones
The designs for Marion's line of Corazon pins are inspired by the milagro corazon and the Corazon Santo. The image of the "Corazon Santo", the "Sacred heart" is rooted in traditional Catholic imagery and is associated with Jesus or his mother Mary. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is depicted with the woven crown of thorns wrapped around the image of the heart. The Sacred Heart of Mary is generally depicted with roses around the heart or a dagger through the heart. The symbolism for Marion's line of "Milagro Corazones" is based in Mexican custom and tradition. Milagro, (the word for "miracle"), is a term attached to a symbol (in this case a heart), that is used to represent the desire for a miracle. Because these Milagros are created in the shape of a heart, a "corazon", they can represent the desire for a miracle in the area of love or they can represent the desire for a healing of the heart, either at the physical or emotional level.
The following are Corazones which have been created and sold. If you would like to purchase one for yourself or as a gift, select the design you like and we can replicate it as closely as possible, however since each piece is handmade and created to be unique, each design will vary. Corazones range in size from 1 ¼ inches to 2 inches long.
We will occasionally be posting new groupins of Corazones. Visit here often to view the new designs.
